چکیده

The National Cancer Center Hospital East introduced a Shimadzu SONIALVISION safire R/F System with direct-conversion FPD that is mainly used for gastrointestinal examinations. This system incorporates a tomosynthesis function that allows the attending physician to take chest tomosynthesis images when required. Since November 2008, Dr. Moriyama of the Research Center for Cancer Prevention and Screening, National Cancer Center Hospital, and the Division of Thoracic Oncology and the Department of Radiology at this hospital have been undertaking joint research and development with Shimadzu Corporation into the utility of chest tomosynthesis for lung cancer screening and to investigate the optimal radiography conditions to reduce exposure dose. This paper reports on the results of research into reducing exposure dose, which is an important topic for screening.

Designing a shield to reduce radiation dose during mammography: Dosimetric evaluation

Background: This paper presents a method to reduce radiation exposure during mammography by analysing the doses to ipsilateral and contralateral breasts and to adjacent organs by evaluating material-dependent shielding performance.  Materials and Methods: Six target-filter combinations (Mo-Mo, Mo-Rh, Rh-Rh, Rh-Mo, W-Mo, W-Rh) were tested by measuring the doses delivered to the breasts and adjac...

Identification of a Novel Tumor-Binding Peptide for Lung Cancer Through in-vitro Panning

Tumor-targeted therapies are playing growing roles in cancer research. The exploitation of these powerful therapeutic modalities largely depends on the discovery of tumor-targeting ligands. Phage display has proven a promising high throughput screening tool for the identification of novel specific peptides with high binding affinity to cancer cells. In the present study, we describe the use of ...
